DPS

The overall (nerfs) DPS changes have lowered my rogue by about 60-70 DPS. I have not made any really specific or dead on parses yet so take that number with a bit of adjusting. The loss is combined with the accuracy change and the disabling of my 65 style.

A possibly unintended side effect that I noticed is Coltaine (warrior) Has a much more signifigent DPS drop (in comparision to my rogue -- 170 dps to 110ish), and has trouble holding agro against me. Most fights before I would need to evade once or twice, I now need to evade constantly or the mob will turn and its a constant struggle of taunt and evade untill the mob dies. Could this please be looked into? It seems as though proc rates are down by a large %.

Accuracy changes appear to be 85% From the back, to 75% from the back (mageblade for first test before changes, progenitor akheva post change.)

Shrug, Ponden. At the time I didn't think a nerf was needed, as you were in line with melees for damage. I did say pretty much directly afterwards I needed to compare with spellcasters too.

Yes, it was a melee nerf. The alternative was breaking the raid game, but taking things out of context is a fun game.
 
Homogenn: Unless my agro has increased from 2 nerfs, that doesnt change what I was saying. Coltaine has noticably less agro. I do not think warrior agro was the target of this nerf so I thought I would mention it.

Warriors have the same portion of reduced aggro as all melees. Sheer logic dictates the only issue would be caster issue, which doesn't seem to be a problem.
 
Well my input is i Went from doing up to 1520backstab Max and a Average of around 1000 to 500 to 800 on a Green mob have not tried this grouping but i dont even want to imagen doing king right now

Way to not read a single thing.

1) Damage was not changed.

2) Accuracy was INCREASED on raid mobs.

3) Damage was not changed.

4) Damage was not changed.

Balancing

I used to take my wizard on raids but have since decided against it due to mobs resisting 40pct of my nukes, Might be alot higher but just being conservative, Most of my nukes that land now are crit blasts and ultimate blasts for the most part, And ya thats with decent cha.

Good thing that I changed resists then except I didn't.

Are you perhaps using fire nukes in ToT or something?
 
What is your CHA? I thought mine was decent but it obviously wasnt good enough cause i got lots of resists too.

Now im maxed at 280CHA and i still get resists. Not many now tho.

Wizzy, I just want you to know that you're a horrible person for nerfing my monk.

Backstab no longer works: I can't even find the hotkey.
My Ytrazliarch no longer does any DPS for me at all.
I no longer have the 200% overhaste style.
I can't even BEGIN to TOUCH a GREEN with my 3handed blunt skill.

Worst Server Admin... EVAR.

Does that mean velks is a raid zone?

Why do I have to chain heal my ranger now to fight mobs that will be light blue in 1 level? (IE, they give crap xp, but they are doable by my ranger, thats why I hunted there).

Why do mobs that low in comparison to my ranger NEVER miss him? Seriously. I have to chain HoT him. It's pathetic. It's almost like a freaking cleric pet tanking these mobs. I have JB, yet I am running low on mana fighting mobs that barely give me experience. If I lose JB, I pretty much cant hunt anymore without a large group, and we all know how common large groups are on this server. I know people are knocking the door down to hunt with my ghetto ranger.

Seriously, this can't be what you intended. I hope you fix it.
 
Wow. What a lame thread this became. Lets all just make up tales about how X thing is some how different when it is not. I posted what was changed and how it effects real game situations. 75% accuarcy vs 65%. How does that have a damn thing to do with resists? or backstab damage? Or omfg my ranger cant tank? All that was changed is melee accuracy was balanced out so that It is no longer 100% accuracy on xp mobs, and 50 % accuracy on raid mobs. It will be more like 65/65 (from the front.) My comment about agro is a true thing and has to do with proc rates (which Coltaine uses for agro.) Less accuracy = less proc rates.

To Haldor in perticular though, There was nothing changed in the "expiramental DPS changes" That would lessen your ranger's ability to tank (Except to INCREASE his avoidence.) If you really want some kind of help on your issue, it would be for the best to possibly make a NEW thread, and to present information on What mobs you are fighting, What you think is different, What spells you cast, What equipment your characters have, and Whether or not you have other people grouped with you.

I aggree there is somehting very wrong with the new calculations. In catacombs this afternoon I parsed an hours worht of fighting and mob accuracy was about %45-50 on a 7044hp warrior with FULL defensive aa's, vindicator stance, and 1340AC. I could barely keep myself healed with the mob slowed.

Now tonight I watch Alazif with 8500hp and more ac then me get owned up by lord sseru in less then 2 seconds slowed on a pause 21 ch chain.


Fact: Something is wrong.
 
Well wiz, that doesnt change the fact that the patch altered the entire game, not just raid mobs.


Also, Im sure you picked the very best parse to post here. You obviously arent going to use a parse where I got raped for 10 rounds straight and expect anyone to buy the argument... You have the advantage over me here.


Whatever, if you think your patch is how the game should be, so be it. Please let me know now though, so I wont waste anymore of my time.
 
Actually I rechecked my parse and it was worse. Mob accuracy on me was 68% !!! SIXTY AYTE PERSENT! on mobs hitting for 300+ a hit
