Not even talking about the gameplay but the amount of polish on the soundwork and all the minor aesthetic things is amazing. On top of the game being solid as fuck. Cant wait for a full release, I would of easily dropped 60 bucks on this as it is. Even with it being free to play.

First time I logged into DotA 2 I thought my graphics card was having a seizure. I thought the models and environment were on par with LoL. i was wrong.

Game seemed fun, obviously with similarities to others of the genre. I can't get used to denying.
 
Well DOTA is the original MOBO afaik, so I would hope the similarities would be there :)

Yeah, DoTA (the icefrog versions aka 6.0 and later) is the game every other game of the genre is based off of. Guinsoo's (part of the LoL team) last version he worked on was 5.84 and paled in comparison to anything Icefrog coded/balanced. And while Pendragon is a terrible dev in regards to gameplay, he is pretty good at the business side of things. I'm glad his efforts helped put DotA in the mainstream spotlight.

Anyways yeah it takes a lot of practice to last hit well, but once you get good you can pretty much kill *every* creep in a wave.

Well the one time I was on vent with him I thought he was a fucking idiot, and he was a really whiny bitch when we played DotA. But I decided that I didn't shit on him just for being a douche and making a crappy DotA clone b/c he's just trying do his thing.

Hes a piece of shit because he broke his promise to the dota allstars community and then used the site to peddle league of legends and sold it off while deleting the database after promising he would archive it atleast. I cannot find the posts and websites I want to link you regarding this but I assure you this is one time i am not making it up??

That guy is a big gay drama mongering baby in the worst regard.

No I remember what you are talking about. Some stupid bullshit about dota-allstars not being the official website anymore and Icefrog started his own little blog thing at get-dota.com or w/e it was. That was about the same time I stopped playing DotA completely, not really cause and effect but I thought it was shitty nonetheless.
