I've been obsessed with the card game lately. It can best be described as a deck building game, where how well you can figure out how to make 10 randomly assigned cards work together best wins.

Essentially you all start off with the same deck (3 victory point cards, and 7 copper cards), and can buy one of 10 randomly chosen 'kingdom' cards, or more money, or victory points. Victory points usually do nothing else, and tend to be dead weight in your hand (5 cards). The more victory you have, the better your chances of winning, but the less you can do statistically.

In any case I'm rather addicted to it these days, and highly recommend it. You can find more info about a physical copy here... http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/36218/dominion

But more important for most people, is an awesome version of the game online here for free! Browser based too!

It's not an official version but the games creator donated some alpha artwork to it the other day, so it seems to at least be accepted. You can play solo to learn the cards a bit, but in general its best to bring some friends in to play. Not something you can really just jump into in most cases, but a surprisingly deep and fun game if you put in the time.

I've been playing this game before it was cool.

Seriously though, this game is super sweet. I own all the expansions and have the upcoming Prosperity preordered. We should play sometime Cyzaine.

Ironworks/Bridge is superbomb.

Awesome Kas, we'll have too!

I'm a big fan of the upgrade cards at this point, but am still in the new/intermediate level I'd think.

There is no persistent scoring atm. Just go and have fun. And you can literally just play all by yourself, though thats kinda dumb. I think cookie wise it gets confused if you boot up 2 clients from one browser, but do a private mode or separate browser and you can do 2 player by yourself.

This may be of help too.

I'm going to swindle your ironworks.

That is all.

Edit: I lied. I'm also going to posses you after you played a tactician the previous turn, then play a possesion from your hand.

15:54 Cyzaine: saddness is; king's court, silver, copper, curse, curse

EDIT:
Cancel that, saddness is, King's Court, King's Court, estate, estate, estate

This webpage has been upgraded with dedicated login names and a leaderboard ranking system. Right now I'm level 9, out of a current maximum of level 45-or roughly in the top 2000 of registered players.

Look me up on there, login name: hughes

Just played some Cornucopia in person. Aside from Jester I'm really liking them. Rewarding diversity is nice, though I don't know how effective it really is compared to a traditional province grind. Fun nonetheless.

I really enjoyed this game. I played it at a board gamers gathering they hold every week in my town and bought it right after lol. I played it to death though and am currently waiting till I have money to get more expansions before I do anything more with it.
