Luclin models look real dumb and classic models reign supreme. Velious textures look sick. And my old PC would play even worse with luclin models

I agree.

Luclin models are terrible and anyone who played EQ from 1999 or anytime before Luclin in 2002-3 should be ashamed of using such awful looking models.

I'm glad so many people were eager to take the poll. I had a suspicion that the Classic models would win out because so many of us initially got into SoD to get our fix of old school Live nostalgia with a twist.

Luclin model animations have come up multiple times. I never before realized just how poor, stilted, and short the animation cycles for these models actually were until everyone began mentioning them. Come to think of it, the animations are probably a major factor in what turned me off of the new models in the first place.

Something that always bugs me as a player who uses Classic models is wondering how dorky I might look to other players who do enable the Luclin models. Since I've never set up my character's hair color, facial hair style, eye color, etc. at all, for all I know poor Grinkles is running around with blue hair, a green mustache, purple eyes, and the creepiest of all the Gnome faces -- and for years that may have been the way others remembered me! :tinfoil:

Man I also worry about this. Sometimes i change my gear set up with someone that uses luclin models watching so i know my character is fresh to death at all times.

I used full Luclin models except Elementals

Classic models are too Nintendo for my eyes. Quit being hipsters and get out of 1999 into like 2002 or whenever the new ones are from!

I use a variety of graphical bugs to make gameplay look even less realistic than classic models do normally. I've got that bug where the faces of various characters and monsters are interchanged (for example, I frequently enjoy seeing male halfling faces on female high elves, or an occasional goblin face on a gnome). I could fix it... but I don't. While in combat, thanks to another bug I pretty much have no clue what's going on - the screen is an incomprehensible jumble of colors. Again, an easy fix, but I don't play for the pretty scenery. If there were an option to play 'blind', using only the UI, I'd be all over that. Like a MUD.

Only exception is when I need to kill a dragon. You have to see the dragon to know it's a dragon.
