Disconnect upon entery

I keep getting disconnected when I try to log into my characters. I have re-patched three times, deleted any and all custom UI's and re-patched again. I do not have problems selecting a character, but they will not log in. I am using Win XP and a wireless broadband connection.

I have followed the directions to a T on the starting guide. From patching with all expansions selected, to deleting and installing the new map packs.

I am also having this problem.

I did everything as stated in the starting guide, repatching, reinstalled, repatched...lather, rinse, repeat.

I get booted back onto my desktop after I click "login" when selecting the SoD server, only to have it boot back to the EQ login screen; after I log in, it gives me an error message; I reselected the server, same problem. I tried all of 10 times, same result.

Also, I'm getting bad video flickering, and I'm very sure it's not my system, as I can run extreme graphics in EQ2 no problem, as well as high resolution Half Life 2, etc. I'm running 2 BFG 6800GT OCUltra in SLi, and a 3700+ San Diego processor with 1gb of very high end memory.


I can deal with the video flickering, but the login problems are just annoying. :lol:

Edit: Make sure you check your antivirus restrictions and put EQ on the bypass list That seems to be an issue, and solved it for me.

how long are you able to stay loged in? like up to 2mins or is it auto kick (to witch screen) i know if your name has been flaged for a change (read Eula for correct nameing policys)
