Disarm

Are there any situations where it is better to not disarm a mob? Or does disarming systematically means weakening the mob?

In an unfortunate "accident", I once disarmed a pristine bonded blade of the torturer when it was still possible in pvp and removed the pristine tag from the item.

the only case i know it would prove benificial is if the mob is using a weapon that procs such as fluxator ect, cause without they wont proc obviously. also if you are dueling a mage pet with weps or such disarming them will weaken them.
as for basic 2 hand sword on a basic trash mob...im not sure if there is any effect other laughs watching a knight punch =p

My buddy and I have a long-standing bet when we group our warriors on who can disarm the target first.

Other than that, it does seem pretty worthless though. Mobs seem to hit just as hard with their fists as they do with weps.

Pretty sure that would just cause the item to become no drop if they re-equip it. The pristine status would still be intact. Unless there was a bug that removed the pristine status, then I am not sure if it really did. I am not sure how facetious your post was in the first place, though.

Being disarmed really did kill pristine status when BoE was new, since disarm code literally deletes your weapon and creates a copy in your inventory, and since BoE pristine status code only triggers when an item is looted from an NPC corpse (which also made it a pain to reimburse pristine status >.<). The more you know!

Oh, then that story is totally awesome.
