DirectInput keyboard

Lorianth

Dalayan Beginner
I am trying to install the game but get this error:

DirectInput keyboard failed!, code = 80070005

Any help would be appreciated.

How about more information to look up?

Exact message (if yours was not it)?

What version of everquest?

Any other information you can supply.

That was the exact message: DirectInput keyboard failed!, code = 80070005

Everquest was patched completely up-to-date from about one month ago when they had the free month with all the expansions up until Depths of Darkhollow.

It appears the problem was due to installing the new Windows service pack. I couldn't play any type of videos. I rolled back my system to before the install and everything works now.

Thanks for the input.
