Deleting inactive accounts?

We have never, to my knowledge, deleted any accounts or characters unless there were very exceptional circumstances (dupers are typically deleted, for instance) and I have no reason to believe we ever will.

But my memory is pretty horrible and I guess it's possible we might have done an account purge at some point in time.

Yeah, a few years back we deleted characters below level 20 that had not been played in eight months or so.
 
WTF is this?

First of all I was under the impression that they did delete old accounts that remained inactive to keep them from slowing the server. Second of all I contacted a few people who were on my friend list and hadnt showed up in a long time. Third of all: how is it a scam to request someone's info who no longer wishes to play? A scam is trying to trick somebody. I wasn't tricking anyone by asking them if they no longer wanted their account. Assuming id even gotten anything - a scam would leave someone feeling tricked or ripped off. Would someone feel ripped off if they knowingly and voluntarily gave their old account to someone because they didnt care? Scam indeed... I wasn't even violating any rules. Nonetheless I shall desist because apparently my actions are seen as wrong.

Ya I should've said my name was Rabb like usual. Now that would've been bad - posing as a GM. But posing as an old chum who he doesn't know - i see no harm, just didn't want to be bugged in game. If I was trying to hide my identity to people I wouldn't have given them my forum name probably...
 
If your intentions were as noble as you say they were, why pose at all? Pretending to be someone else while you're talking to someone doesn't do much for your credibility.
 
But I wasn't posing - I gave my forum handle which is he needed to see that I was a regular player and not some random freak. I guess I just felt like at the time I didn't want to be contacted in game. I didn't pester him or anything - when he said he wanted to play still I left him alone. It's not as if I attempted to do to people something that they would mind.

Any accounts that Kraw gets his hands on will be instantly banned, so anyone who feels tempted to give him an account should keep that in mind.

Yea, we learned that the hard way! Talk about Jeckle and Hyde. :( I love how he tries to use me as leverage to try and steal accounts. That made me throw up a lil in my mouth. :mad:
