Deity rejecting new follower....

If you kill in a "Deity zone", you will end up max kos in basicly 1 kill (at least in PoEntropy, one zone I tested).
When you have done that, killed 1 or more mobs in a Diety Zone, that Deity will no long accept you as a follower (SoS).

That makes good sense, right?

I dont think so, and here is why.

Once you pledged to a Deity, you won't be able to attack anything in that zone, you can't even cast spells.
So the God don't have to fear you double crossing him/her/it.
Also in most lore, usually a Deity is only as strong as its followers. That combined with the previous fact, makes it even more odd, that a God won't accept a new follower.

So I suggest, that when you hail a Deity in SoS, instead of just flat out rejecting the "kos" follower, instead ask for a contribution.
The Head of an enemie or carry 1 mill copper or, spawn a mob you must slay, to prove your alligiance... What ever, in the end the Deity will grow stronger, and the Player will be happy with an option and not just a "dude... srsly? go F your self ok!".

While I agree the system is flawed, I believe it is in place to prevent a person from getting all the loot they need from a zone then pledging to that deity.

This. If you lose the downsides to pledging a deity, it all becomes a relatively futile system.

Just make the loot like faction bound stuff, it goes poof if you pledge there.

in theory that'd probably work, but its much more difficult to tag hundreds of items like that than the current implementation.

This is already possible to do with Giants and Dragons. I made sure my Monk had all weight reduction bags and clicky pulling tools, I knew of from off Dragons, before I went ally with them.

And actually in this scenario, it would have to be "reverse faction bound".
You are only allowed to keep this item, if God X hates you....

Again it makes little sense to me.
Also who cares? It's not like I for one will lose any sleep over someone having Soverign AND being Marlow pledged... After all, basicly the same resoult (Soverign + 75 mana aug) could be had by just chosing a different faction, with out good clickers, for example Plane of Entropy; who would ever care about any loot from there, at say tier 10+?

But really, logic and arguments aside, why not "just" make it possible for players (who fucked up) to pledge with what ever Deity they prefer, by make amends, instead of having to take a less desirable "career choice" or simply re roll :(
