Deepmaster Talain faction

So I have a Cleric based in Newport. I already did the quests Talain's Prayer Beads, Shroud of the Initiate, and Petitioner Advice. After doing those I killed Jolas (merchant in cleric guild) when I accidentally turned on auto attack and went AFK.

Now my faction in the cleric guild is dubious. I can't buy my own spells I have to use a different character to buy my spells. I tried to do Shroud of the Novice quest to raise faction so I got the 5 Plague Gnoll Fangs and 5 Sludge Gnoll Fangs, and I still have my Shroud of the Initiate. I go turn in the fangs to Deepmaster Talain and he won't accept them. I'm guessing its because my faction is too low. So now I'm in a bind. According to the wiki there are no mobs that I can kill to raise faction and the only quests that raise faction I can't do because my faction is too low.

Does anyone know what I can do?

Thats an option off the last quest in the series. He would have to choose Gradalsh to be CoE at this point. I think. Of all the possible options I can think of, these pretty much have him either choosing a diety, taking some risk and/or waiting levels to do the adjust.

1. Pledge Tarhansar (The Deep One) and do his diety aug line at or near 65. Which presumably would give positive adjusts on his church. Stuck with Octopus, crab man diety which isn't a terrible choice except choatic adjusts will probably be a bitch for a cleric.
2. If he wants CoE pledge gradalsh, but lose out on the easy cult gate. I assume he gets one off the G quest line since there is so much riff-raff now at Necro private banking.
3. Try killing CoE members and see if that adjusts Church of the Deep One
4. Pledge Althuna, like every other cleric, and Silver Crown for lol easy 20% max deity faction carried by your guild hand-holding you every step of the way. Since the summon water clicky is the sweet as hell and he has it, and a cure disease clicky can be substituted in multiple other places. Buy spells in athica or gnome-ville tick tock.

None of the diety choices are bad since all are T5 completely optional zones, but Althuna would be the easiest max diety faction. Repping CoDO faction seems a lot of work for a replaceable clicky

See if you can borrow an ambassador's writ from someone, the faction boost might be just enough to bump you to the point of being able to turn the items in. You can also try coupling this with illusion human if you're not already one.

grraaaadddddaaaaaalllllllssssssssshhhhhh

all the cool kids are worshiping him, come on, don't be a square

no, you get a new faction, a better faction

also, despite the fact that the deity aug quest basically involves wanting to turn everyone in newport in to a zombie slave, you can maintain a surprisingly good reputation with the rest of newport,. I've even got an amulet of newport! Not that I need one, because I've got an amulet of cult bank, which is the best gate neck ever btw.

Gradalsh owns, and I wrote like 90% of the quest write up for the wiki, you should do it!!

plus, come on, you've already killed an innocent vendor, you're plainly evil, who are you trying to fool?

You get to be ally to Halas after completing too. Because they are broken slaves to your will. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

You get to kill paladins as well. who could pass that up.

Character's name is Cyalora. I see the writ has recommended level 30. Does that mean you have to be 30 to cast it? I'm only 22 right now.
