Damage Dealing Melee

We did some DPS melee testing with equally equipped (high-end) melees. The result was as follows:

Knight: 70 DPS
Warrior: 90 DPS
Ranger: 85 DPS/110 DPS (Melee/Bow)
Rogue: 125 DPS
Monk: 100 DPS

Rogues outdamage monks. By a considerable amount.

Hurm, thats odd, because when I parse, I get Ravina(60 ranger) doing about the DPS you point out, but my DPS(60 paladin) is anywhgere from 25-40). Im always in defensive though, so maybe thats accounting for the dramatic change, plus im only using a 40/40 weapon. I did not think that styles would cause that big a swing. Any chance you could indicate what type of gear you used for these tests?

Whiny ass rogues...don't you remember we need people to keep doors open for a monk to pull in areas like kael , ST, etc...=P

Rogues slowing bahahahha :finger:

Monk: 100 DPS

Why is the knight classes dps lower than warriors? I can maybe understand paladin, because it should be a lot bigger on undeds (?), but SK's dps is like... wrong. Yes, I understand that they have an easier time holding agro but the way I see it:
SK: Hold agro, can't tank as well
Warrior: Can tank, can't hold agro as well

So I think that it should be uppered? Or is that just me?

Rogue poison could be useful here if it allowed truely wonderful things besides the typical DD/stun/DoT stuff.

Mez poison was a good idea.

How about posion that when it procs the next caster spell will crit as if the mob had rending curse on him? Same deal with striking curse?

Jinx poison that makes the next mob attack miss?

etc

Keep in mind that SKs get stuff other than aggro-holding spells...
