D&D World Wide Game Day 2007

Hello fellow SoD folks. I was curious if anyone out there was planning on attending D&D (Dungeons and Dragons, in case anyone lives under a rock) World Wide Game Day this year. I am going, but for the first time this year I'll be sitting in the DM's chair. Well, not the first time in the DM's chair ever, but my first time in the chair for an official event.

Is anyone else going this year? If so, what are you going to do and where are you attending?
 
I can't really see myself going to an "official" D&D event, much like I can't see myself attending a star wars convention.
I probably couldn't stand playing with random people either. The folks I play with are pretty cool and non-strange, so kickin back some brew and rollin dice becomes major fun.
 
Yeah, I know what you mean. In years past I have always gone with friends though. Last year, however, I only took one friend with me so I had to play with 4 people I didn't know under a terrible GM.

Long story short, awful experience.

And when I say official event, I mostly just mean that it's the same game being played everywhere and put on by the RPGA. Other than that it's not really anything special and you don't prizes for winning or anything.
