Corpsecall

Would there be any possibility of adding in the ability to only summon corpses from your own group/raid? There are some winged zones with corpsecalls which if used at the wrong time can lead to some headaches.

I wouldn't say replace it's default mechanics, but just an addon /cm corpsecall raid or such.
 
I think the GM crew would have too much work to keep it from being abused that it would make it not ok.

"ok all but the rog with rez urn suicide, then rog walk up to the safe spot WAAAAY behind all these mobs that hit real hard, we rez, rebuff and snipe"

I think this is also the reason you only can corpsecall others corpses a small distance
 
I can only think of 1 corpse call in the entire game where you could actually do this, and with or without change you can do it, and is the only place in the game where thats actually viable, The only other corpsecall i know of off hand past abunch of mobs is right infront of NZ but everything in IS sees sneak hide, so thats pretty moot. You could do what you described with or without the OP's purposed change with more or less the same risk.

I think the OP probably had a bad turn of events with 2 raids in ToT and one raid used the corpse call at generals, that does not enable any mob skipping.
 
The only way I could see corpse call work is if it was only usable in corpse summoning areas and it let you just summon a single corpse at a time. I dunno probably not worth the effort really
 
Heh, perhaps I was a little confusing with my original post.

I was only intending the change to be used in corpse summoning areas that permit the use of /cm callcorpses already. It's true what prompted this thread was an incident in generals. I don't actually know if there are any other places in the game where multiple raids may congregate in a zone containing a corpse summoning area, I just assumed there were, or would be at some point.

Going over it in my mind, to achieve the desired effect, the default setting would need to be changed to raid-only while the 'all corpses' setting would need a specific tailing attribute, as people wouldn't know to use the raid suffix and end up summoning all corpses again.

Maybe it's not worth the effort, I honestly don't know what is involved, and if it's only one zone that it will ever affect, then maybe we'll just have to deal.
 
ToT and Prison are the only zones that come to mind. Every other raid zone with a corpsecall area would only ever have one raid in it at a time, but those two are winged.
 
I could see changing the default to raid-only corpses but I'm not sure why we'd need to keep an all-corpses option if we did that. I guess there could be some situations where you want to easily get the corpse of someone who left raid a while ago or something but I don't think it really needs to be that convenient. Beyond that just seems like a troll option.
 
Put a corpse call in the other tot wings, Put a corpse call into IP/OP prison zone ins. problem solved
 
The situation that pops into my mind is hmalb corpse summon area, as it's the one zone you're allowed to summon corpses to replace people. Could also just make that particular area able to summon all corpses instead.

Haegra Malath addendum - You are allowed to switch members of your group out, however, and THIS ONE TIME ONLY it is okay to use the 6-char corpsecall to get them back to the group, so long as most of the group (4+) died *at that boss or further in*.

be careful about that, it says most of the group needs to have died, not just suicide at zone in and rez the 1 person. (unless I am reading this wrong)
