Companion armour tome?

How useful is this tome? It only adds 25% of the master's AC, but according to the tome of knowledge AC counts for more up to 500. I assume pets have the same AC code as PCs, so my question is how much mitigation does 500AC actually add? Enough to consider getting the AC tome and giving plate armour to the pet?

Does anyone have any actual numbers?
 
Adding to the OP's question, since he mentioned plate armor.

I haven't done anything past t10, so unfamiliar with the end-game pet wep's/gear the game offers (aside from what Supp likes to link to me). Is there any pet gear that adds +dodge, +block, +parry?
 
there are several +10 dodge mods for the casters but as far as parry none because a skill mod doesnt help you if you cant even use that skill. Example amage with backstab mod.

too pro for words.

OT: 99.9% of the time you will be using mage summon stuff... and emberflow stuff when you go there... maybe a few turruj weps here and there... but mostly weps of power...
