Combine gems drop ratio

Traitor! :haw:

But yeah, 3 gems in months and the 3 in one raid. Guess your gm had the fingers in it. I smell a conspiracy :hmph:

Haha noway!
If I had fingers there, I'd at least summon myself some waterstones and more plate gems, don't you think? :p
GM hax!

tho the drops from when Forsaken/Legacy and Ruin was farming them.. have decreased alot. But in a way had to. When you are gettin them on like 70 or 80% of the mobs it takes no time to get the upgrades then they all rot.

Gea was suggesting the ratio be looked at. Nobody mentioned combine gem drop rates in general.

If you flip a coin and it comes up heads 5 times, does that mean the coin is broken? Post your results when you've had about 100 drop. The numbers will be much more balanced by then.
So what? i can still flip 100 times and get 100 heads up.
Thats statistics, the chance of that occuring has a % and its determinated not by the many times u flip, and yes by the many different choices it have... so in a coin 2...

Right....but it you got 100 heads in a row that would feel RATHER strange and you might suspect the coin is rigged or something seeing as the chances of getting heads 100 times in a row is approximately 1 in 1,267,650,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. I'd make a post about it tbh.

This is as opposed to getting heads 5 times in a row which is 1 in 32.

These are all approximate, but if fairly distributed in the percentage chance to drop, it would look close to this.

15 classes, so each class has 6.6% (repeating 6's) of the total chance for each gem to drop. (100% chance / 15 classes)

5 plate = 33%

4 silk = 26.4%

3 leather = 19.8%

3 chain = 19.8%

Clearly you will get plate and silk alot more than leather and chain.

Just posting these to show why you 'seem' to get certain gems a lot more, it will even out over time.
