Why expect everything to be given to you for free in game?

At a certain point, the resists hardly matter. Im not 100% opposed to losing a bit with the aug, but as others said, many people would just not use it if it didnt give full stats, since hp buffs are ultra important and you rarely actually run out of spots, its more of a convenience to have room for ashpyre/gog/etc landing at the same time, or to be able to keep a vision buff or other unneeded, but convenient buff.
