Cmal 3.2

Just a suggetsion but given the congestion on the server would it possible for nameds in 3.2 to spawn a little quicker at least temporarily.

Competition for them is so intense I havent even seen them up since I got the key.

Upper Cmal is always pretty contested, this falls under the same concept as raid spawn timers- if you want them, check them often and be prepped to go when it's up. That said, I haven't been around Cmal in a bit so I don't know how many people are tryin to get in on it.

from my experience, 3+ is just about as conjusted as it alwasy has been. I'm checking the summoner, arbiter, and a couple other choice nameds pretty often for my toons, and it seems the same as when I used to check the summoner all the time for that 17 dmg dagger - which is he's almost never up.

summoner has ALWAYS been killed, almost always within a couple hours of whenever he spawns. this is nothing new

It kinda sucks that due to vah shit he's also going to be farmed by higher levels who will rot the loot. But that can't be helped.

I think the replies highlight some of the issues quite well.

Cmal 3+ is one of the best dungeons 65 50+ non-raiding toons can play. If you play well you will almost always kill your targets provided you dont get too ambitious. If you are careless or unlucky and for example get an extra roamer then you wipe. This happened last night on a routine 2 pull and our poorly equipped enchanter lasted about 30 seconds.

Cmal 3.1 is quite often up but there are only 1or 2 drops there that are better than tradeskilled items. Cmal 3.2 and 4 are very rare and precious non-raid areas where you can actually get a couple of items that are better than Deepmetal such as the Helm and Shoulders.

However, everybody and their 16 twinked alts is farming 3.2 and 4.

Don't know what is in the expansion but would dearly love to see 1 or 2 other dungeons with a similar level of difficulty and similar rules just to ease the congestion.

They are there yet, Catacombs and Highkeep for both difficulty and ruleset, First Ruins for difficulty.

Difficulty and rules yes.

Prospects for real upgrades only in First Ruins.

Very little in way of upgrades at other dungeons. What I particularly like about Cmal is the real precision that is needed for low level 65s.

Im sure any party you are in can just rush in but for us we have to very carefully mez 2 of 3 mobs and then kill each in turn. Any mistake in mezzing or in breaking mez can be lethal.

I've obviusly been in the other 3 dungeons but people Ive been with tend to use less technique and more brute force and take the mobs out 3 at a time. Ive even been in High Keep with a real uber group who just aggroed everything in sight and killed them.

Haven't been to FR for some time maybe its time to have another go and see if I can get a pristine set of greaves.

Would still love to see another Cmal type dungeon in expansion tho.

How so? There are some VERY nice upgrades in both High Keep and Cata for pre-raid and even through several raid tiers. Quality wise, the drops in these zones blow away anything in CMal.

Cata is a lot like CMal 3.1/3.2 except it's probably better to split rather than CC if you don't out gear it.

The Darkweaver Queen, Jontran Elthannar, and Ancient Tarlisha Elthannar require some careful coordination to beat unless you are well geared. Cata bosses are a fun challenge if you are going after them to gear up; you should give it another try.

Whoops you are right some of the armor pieces aren't listed on the main page only under the named page.

Thank you for pointing that out

yea, I know your pally, you are geared enough to go for the first 3 bosses with a well rounded group, *maybe* even try the 4th with a reallllllly good group. cata is a lot like cmal, aka tons of fun, with interesting encounters for the bosses.

that said, i'd hope to see more 6 man zones around the same difficutly.
