Client freezing at character select

Hello, i've been having issues lately with joining the game. The client simply freezes and stops responding once character selection comes on the screen. This has happened even after I reformatted my computer and reinstalled the game from scratch.

It has prevented me from playing for quite some time. :(

Win Vista Home Premium
9500 Quad Core AMD Phanom
3GB Ram
ATI Radeon HD2400 Pro graphics
 
It used to work fine before? How long ago? Was it on another computer or did you since do a reinstall of the game or the OS?

Or has it just never worked?
 
It works now, so i guess nevermind.

If anyone in the future experiences this problem, check your display settings. I had to lower my resolution (i have a big wide screen) and it works fine now. :)
