Cleric fast heal upgrade

A level 60 druid with his ancients has better fast healing than a level 65 cleric without his relic fast heal.

Clerics get a single pre-relic "fast heal" - Ethereal Remedy at level 59. (325 mana, 1.25 sec cast, 975 hp of heal)

Druids get a fast heal as an ancient - Nathure's Soothing (285 mana, 1.25 sec cast, 1090 hp of heal)

Now clerics do get a relic fast heal - Althuna's Remedy (330 mana, 1.1 sec cast, 1350 hp of heal)

Could clerics see a upgrade somewhere in the 60s to keep ahead of druid healing before relics?

did you take into account that getting the ancient at level 60 is damn near impossible i know that i got my ancient heal after level 65 and still after farming ancient mobs it took me close to 2 months to get because of how rare ancient spells are and how many classes need them btw during that 2 months easily killed over 40 mobs that have have the possibility to drop the spell and no im not including dragons in DN

Honestly, I think that once clerics lost CH, they should have gotten boosts to their other spells. While the new CH are still in the game, Clerics in today's SOD lost a lot of ground as far as "the" healer goes. In many cases Druids are practically little to no worse than Clerics in the heal department. And of course now there is the ample talk about Druids being comparable dps to mages. Balance is great, and I am in favor of it. In fact, I am in favor of what SOD staff has done and continues to do. However, some classes have little ground to lose due to their non-diverse nature.

The example cited above is similar to a concern I expressed some time ago, that being that there shouldn't be cases like this where clerics are topped by another class. Let's face it, the vast, vast majority of the life of a cleric consists of: big heal, quickie, and cele.

Once you get relics, however, I believe there is a more distinct gap. Of course, I recognize that every player starts with zero relics and only the highend get them, but my post is concerned with the pre-relic period in which the healing roles of a druid and cleric are very close.

Druid DPS can't compare to mage (when not resisted because they only have 2 types of damage, magic damage consisting of FAR better spells), because it's very mana inefficient.
I think it's more or less only good for soloing, a group will get a druid for their heals and not dps and druids usually don't nuke on raids (except Naoma, wtg). Druids also don't get any aggro reduction AAs and it's fairly easy to overnuke.
Usefulness of druid dps could be argued the same way as cleric summoned hammer dps, they'd most likely use it on same occassions.

I agree there should be a 60-65 non-relic fast heal, though.

Actually I always keep CH mem'd and find it quite usefull still. Very important spell in many key and/or specific situations.

Xardon makes a valid point - CH's are still great spells with the cooldown. Anyways, I agree that a Fast Heal 60-65 would be really neat.

Yes, CHs are still pretty handy to have memmed.

Another quick heal between Ethereal Remedy and relic Remedy would be pretty nice and useful.

I do keep it memmed as well :) . My overarching point was along the lines of CH got "nerfed" in a real sense of the word, and it was a defining spell that was essentially taken away with little in return to "make up" for the loss.

CH are still useful, no doubt, but as far as pre-relic's are concerned, I just don't see Clerics being very much better healers than druids (I believe they should be, although I'm sure people might argue that as well :keke:).

I've added "Blissful Remedy" at level 61 and moved Ethereal Remedy to level 57. It should be dropping with this patch.

Me and a friend were just comparing druids/cleric heals and how comparable they were, especially considering druids can alternate between dps and heals so easily. In particular we were puzzled by the ancient druid heal versus clerics quick heal -- and considered having druid be primary patch healers b/c of this. Its fixed now, so thats good for clerics -- and i agree with it completly.

Wait a second, clerics still have complete heal? Just on a cooldown? I must be the worst cleric. EVER!
