The Charred Banded Belt (High Warden Ansaag)
AC:38
Mana Con 6
Str: 12, Agi: 25, Dex: 12, Wis: 12, Int: 12, Hp: 160, Mana: 155
+5 to all resists
Dmg Reduc +2
War, Clr, Pal, Rng, Shd, Brd

Glory, Girdle of Enthann (enthann)
AC: 46
Taunt 2%
Str: 10, Sta: 20, Agi: 10, Dex: 10, Hp: 160, Mana: 145
FR +25
Aggression +1
Stun Resist 2%
War, Pal, Rng, Shd, Brd, Rog

Energized Cord (lower air mini)
AC:22
Ferocity 3
Str: 18, Agi: 18, Dex: 18, Hp: 165, Mana: 100
Crit Strike 1%
War, Pal, Rng, Shd, Mnk, Brd, Rog, Bst

I didn't list them but I don't see why any cleric would choose the charred belt over Sandstone or Conviction (fomelo Asura or Kaldeesh for stats) which are both on it's tier anyway when MC 6 can be obtained from Ulaz or by getting the Courageous mittens etc.

A warrior will choose Glory, and Knights will most likely do the same because even though mc 6 can be nice for any class that uses mana it's not worth using over what you gain tank wise on Glory.

That leaves Rangers and Bards. Being dps classes I don't see why they would choose the charred belt over the energized cord because the extra attack from 3 ferocity or 1% crit isn't worth passing up for MC 6 especially for a bard who rarely uses mana.

This belt has great stats and it's a nice item but I just don't see why any class would choose it with so many other options on the same tier. The plain fact is that you are more likely to kill Enthann and lower air boss before High Warden so this belt is pretty much going to be rot.

I suggest that the belt have some crit or ferocity/valiance added to it to make it a viable midway between full on dps and full on tank at that tier.

It would give you less tank stats than Glory but more dps, and less dps than energized cord but more tank stats making a nice belt for auxer's, ramp tanks, ect.

Now with my suggestion I assume Warriors and Clerics will still choose the same as before but it opens up more of a personal preference midway "neutral" option for Pal, Shd, Rng, and Brd.

Quick aside...focus effects do not affect bards as we sing songs and focus effects affect spells only.

you sure about that? I always thought bellow was a spell in SoD (in opposition to live, where all songs were just songs)

and i thought that Range Increment affects bards? I might be totally wrong though so dont quote me on that

I thought Wiz has stated focus effects do not affect bards, and with Mana Con V I see no difference when casting Brusco line of songs. Also, when we proc, focus effects do affect us as those are spells and not songs. Also, Mana Con does not affect Speed of the Wind which is a buff and not a song, so I am not really sure. I have also had a range increment foci on my bard and it did not make a difference. Hopefully I am wrong and they are just bugged currently for me/bards, as I would love to have focus effects affect me.

P.S. Truely am sorry about the derail and I do believe this belt should be looked into based on your data/observations.

You are correct. The Brusco's line isn't affected by Dmg Inc, Mana con, or other focus effects.

EDIT: You are also correct about the procs being affected by focus effects and being that bards get an Item adept AA, Dmg inc is an important part of our dps due to procs being an important part of our dps.

Er . . are all these encounters really considered to be on the exact same tier?

If you want to get technical it goes like this from toughest to weakest

Warden - Enthann - lower Air mini

My single encounter difficulty opinion aside I'd still place at least Enthann and Warden on the same tier and the air mini a tier below them

so that still leaves the banded belt underpowered and doesn't change my argument

Enthann > Warden > Lower Air.

The belt is pretty good, considering. MC6 useful for pal/brd/rng/sk, all of which can use the ac/hp/mana/dr. There arent exactly huge amounts of tanking belts available, and this isnt a straight tank belt like Glory.

Also, dont underrate DR. DR is very good until you cap it.

how is it useful to bard mana cons doesnt affect us...and enthann was easier before this recent change....the belt is still way underpowered and like I said before who would choose this belt over Glory or energized cord? or wrapped vine cord also for that matter?

Ok, so MC isnt good for you. Dont underestimate damage reduction. It is incredibly useful. And to be honest, the way this belt is NOW, Id use it on my ranger over the other 2. High ac, high stats, damage reduction, equal total saves to Enthann, and more saves than air.

yah and it's not...plain fact is that its harder than much of upper thaz

Because you forced through it with gear instead of figuring out the strategy,.
