Character too old for MQ

Hi,
I made my character, Kyraz back in 2006, I believe. I can't start the Main Quest because I never received a mysterious summons (i believe thats what its called), because The Dream hadn't been created yet. I read on the wiki that I should try hailing the Eye of Dreams.. I've tried this, but I'm guessing they are broken or hate me. Anyways, I was just wondering if I could get this note.

The Dream existed in december 2006, so it is more plausible that you lost this piece of paper somewhere on the way.

Anyways, your best bet is to petition ingame.
 
You don't actually need the piece of paper to start the quest, if indeed you lost it. You can just go to the right person for your race/class combo (make a new toon of the same race/class just to read the note if you can't figure it out). The books you get are available in the Erudin library, as well as on the Wiki.

I don't know if you actually needed to go through the dream to get flagged to start the rest; this might be a problem if the toon didn't go through, but my guess is it did and that's why the eyes ignore you.
