character creation screen problems

hi im new to Shards of Dalaya... i followed all the installation instructions on the website and everything seems fine till i get to the character creation screen. nothing on the screen is clickable and the demo character just spins. i literally cant do anything on this screen. i browsed the forums and didnt find anything that was helpful. I would really like to try this server out thanks in advance.

Does your mouse work before the character selection screen? I know you said 'everything seems fine' but just wondering. Also, I can't recall but isn't there a F key that turns your mouse off? I may be wrong about that. If so, someone else can chime in.

Secondly, I am pretty sure you can use the keyboard for the character selection screen. Try that out just to see if you can at least create a char, get in game and see if your mouse works there.

Also, do a full update with the SoD patcher....again, if you haven't already.

I've had this happen on occasion, it seems to be crappy video drivers or some such.

One way of fixing it that seems to work frequently is to go into and out of full screen mode (Alt-Enter). At least that's done it for me.
