I can think of three portal amulets that are fairly easily attainable off the top of my head, plus the Newport/Oggok necks, plus various other items. This is not a major benefit.

People give their money to this server, why not give them a little 'Thankyou Present'? I fail to see any 'significant' gain from just being able to port to a zone and gate back, can't some classes do that already?

Its not the 'thank you' thats the problems, its just this is to my eyes a form of selling a product, and service if you will, which will probably make people think more about donating, but that to my understand completely eludes the basic background concept of a server such as this.

To my eyes the post that was on the front page of the site a couple of weeks ago about Sony selling items for cash and everyone taking the piss, but what of we got to laugh about? This could be a step in that sort of direction..... ($) ($)

Ahh but you are selling a service it may only be a small thing, but it is totally against what a shard server is about, to my understanding a shard server should the love of the game, the community and genuine donators not bribed buyers.

So giving any benefits whatsoever is "bribing buyers"? Well holy shit, last time I gave blood I got coffee and a sandwich, I guess I just got bribed instead of giving blood out of the goodness of my heart.

You don't define what WR is about. I do. I think that rewarding people who pay so that YOU can play for free with small conveniences is perfectly fine. The server doesn't run on love -- it runs on money.

I may be putting a hard face on the extent of the benefit, but where does it stop? what happens when you want more money for what ever, give people an ubber weap? perhaps an instant lvl 65? for now just $99!

Actually they won't do that at all. In fact, the only reason we're not in the red for May is because Injektilo, that swell fellow, has signed up for four Platinum subscriptions. So you're entirely mistaken. Either the server consists almost exclusively of poor students without $4 a month, or the people who can afford it actually don't want to pay.

I've been playing a warrior since the very first months of WR (I'll be going on three years soon) and I don't think it's that big of a benefit at all.

I didn't mention the Newport amulet, either, because that amulet is kind of a PITA to get. Try one of the four other amulets.

If you could please explain with your obviously superior knowledge of WR how a 120-second Gate is such a tremendous boon, I'd love to hear it.

1) Injektilo is currently paying for half the server. This is not sustainable.

2) We need more money to get another server box with the server growth.
