Cata drops alot of money spells all of the time. Its experience rate is not that bad. The names drop ancients too and are a good source of valuable 65 spells (vessel/pot4). It has alot of quest drops and it has a relic dropper with some ridiculous things.

yah but i mean thats THE ONLY thing its good for. money spells. the gear on all the nameds is shit except for the end boss that tier 10 guilds have perma camped and the ring from jontraan. I'm just thinking back to the days when people fought over Catacombs cause it was the best exp, loot, spells etc around. just a +1 on gear that drops there i think like Cmal 3.0 got would make it a much more favorable zone
cata is a fun zone but it has the same problem of almost all exp zones that are not rust or citadel you can beat the respawn on everything in the zone and have to sit and wait for respawns up to 15 minutes or more. I would definitely go exp in almost all the old world zones if this problem didn't exist but that's prety much why i sit in cita all day erry day.
Drops could use love, some bosses are almost perma-up, because the loot isn't worth it. (Like Darkweaver Queen, for example.)
The Zone itself is awesome and fun, just seems you can't get people to go there without a quest mob being up. Very rare a xp group just wanders in.
It seems like the same players that were in it 2 years ago are the same ones that pop in still, and from the responses in this thread, a lot of us seem to have outgrown it.
If the loot was changed on them at all, which I wouldn't be against since it competes much harder with a ton of droppable stuff now, the respawn timer on them would have to be lengthened accordingly I'd think..
I'd think what could use a look would be how to get the newer players that seem stuck in the typical EWs and Elds to try it out.
