I've registered successfully, but when I try logging in, it tells me my username or password is incorrect
do I have to wait for some kind of verification from the GM's before I can log in?
Also, in the bug list it says to run the game through the patcher.. does it mean the Everquest patcher I hope? becuase when I try running the .exe called "patcher" from the SoD release.rar, i get a failure error when itopens up a command prompt
any help would be greatly appreciated

When I first tried running SoDpatcher, it wasnt the sod patcher I had extracted into the Game folder, but a second extraction that came straight from the zip
so, this whole logging in thing should work once I get it patched.. if ti ever recieves patch list =-p
 
okay, I did as the instructions said and extracted the release.rar into the eq folder.. but I didnt use that patcher to run it, I thought i oculd just run the eq patcher. And after that dint work, I extracted ANOTHER sod patcher thinking I could just run it from the desktop.. but the only way that works is if its a copy of the one in the eq folder :p
 
I can't really seem to figure out what your problem is, since it seemed to have changed? Please post exactly what you've done and where you run into trouble.
 
I figured it out.. and I did post exactly what I di and how it caused a problem.. ya know how you're supposed to extract the files from "release" into the eq folder.. the patcher file and some other dll I think, I did that and then trieed runnig eq through SOE's patcher (ie clicking on the "Everquest" icon on my desktop.. cause ya know.. as far as I knew that was the patcheer. But thene I thought hey maybe im supposed to use the sod patcher.. so I tried extracting another version of that patcher to desktotp, still didnt do shit.. then eventually I figured out I have to use the patcher I put in theeq folder. if you still dont get what im saying, just forget it =)
