Can't Log in to server

I recently loaded XP Pro 64bit on my computer and had to reformat due to some issuses, and I get a 1001 Error when I try to log in, I changed my eqhost file, and downloaded the .net which allowed me to open the patcher. I noticed the patcher works, because it downloaded some new files. Any ideas? I've installed uptodate nvidia drivers, and directx and downloaded all the windows updates. I just get that 1001 error when i try to log in the server.

I just deleted the eqhost file and repatched all and still no luck same ole 1001 error

You must have some program blocking the game from establishing a connection to the server.

I don't know of anything that would :what:
