Can't even get the game to start

I've followed all the installation guides, installed from Titanium discs, and installed the patcher to my client folder. I've patched everything. When I open the game using the launcher, I get a screen that displays 5 SoD rules. If I press anything, EQ simply closes. If I don't do anything, the screen doesn't change. This happens both with EQW and without. Any help would be fantastic.

I'm running Vista Home Premium 64.
 
I had exactly this same problem; it turned out I was forcing anti-aliasing in my video card settings. Turning that off fixed it.
 
It's a video card issue. Either what setec said, or you've got a driver or driver settings that doesn't like SoD.
