Canopic Jar and the such.

I am curious to know if the Canopic Jar and the wolf cage/frog jar, if there is anyway they can be made so they stack with other pets. Right now for a beastlord or any other pet class these items are useless and are Joke prizes at most. But seeing how the hafling horde and other aa pets are able to be stacked I want to know if it's just a melee pet like those or if these stat pets can be stacked with our others. If so it would be splendid.

Familiars already take up a buff slot. I don't see why this cannot be implemented unless it is deemed as "too powerful".

As for Necros I'd say:

You either have a frog out for additional Stamina, Charisma and CR (pretty nice tbh) or you just cast your pet for some additional DPS and maybe even some sort of "Get-out-of-jail-card" if things go bad. Having both available at once could lead to imbalances with certain classes (Namely necromancers).

But you still have to eat a buff slot with familiars, making them hard to use on raids. I do see how it can potentially be imbalanced, but most affects on familiars are small enough it really should not matter.

10hp/tick regen? Tiny AOE lifetap (iirc)? This are pretty useful for someone like a necro.

I agree that some means of benefitting from the items would be nice, but I can definitely see where the unbalancing argument comes from.

The lifetap breaks mez iirc, so its not super useful in most groups and regen is pretty much maxed out with spells/songs on raids (but I did think the regen from the puppy was much smaller). And I have said in all 3 of my posts that it may be unbalanced but not a huge deal.

It's a 10hp heal from your pet every 10 seconds, so it'll add to any regen =)

Edit: Sorry, that was a typo; 10hp heal every 6 seconds.

Oh okay, sorry, I did not know how it worked. Only heals you up to 90% though, right? And 10hp every 10secs is 30hp every 5 ticks so it is only 6hp a tick (nothing to sneeze at, but nothing too broken). Still, it is a buff slot and there arent many times I would want to waste a buff slot for this effect (soloing or some groups it may be different...groups where you don't relic buff first that is).

I can easily free up a buffslot or two on almost any encounter we do (save a very few where I basically need ALL my slots) and some additional Charisma, CR and Stamina wouldn't hurt too much, neither would regen. It would imbalance pet classes. Period.

So for non pet classes we get all of our cool class stuff plus the option of having a familiar? Not sure how that is fair (not that I mind since I don't use pets, but it still seems kind of weak to use a pet for a buff...essentially taking up two slots). Also, I have shit gear and I almost max on all of those stats save for CR on raids. Wiz says no, so it is no, but I really don't think it is gamebreaking by any means.

I do not like it when individual players propose sweeping changes to the way everything works to benifit their specific situation. I can name very few such threads, but this is one of them. It's not parsimonious, it's full of unintended consequences, it's not well-thought-out, and it's staggeringly self-serving. Sorry mate: votin' no on your suggestion.

Also dangit wiz I deleted my post to get rid of the edited message and you sniped my spot :hmph:

Well just a closer, i'm not the only person thinking of this. Prize just made me want to bring it up. But I didn't know how people were feeling about items such as these that could only be used by non pet classes basically. I dropped caring about prize stuff the next day and everyone else should aswell.

But as a closer. I was curious if this was possible and my question was answered. So Good Day.
