Cannot keep the Target Click Shows Help option turned off

Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to make the Target Click Shows Help button that is in the in-game options stay off? It seems that when I turn it off it is somehow getting turned back on whenever I crash to the server screen during a zone. I have looked at all the .ini files like default.ini, eqclient.ini and UI_PlayerName_.ini and did not see any reference to the Target Click Shows Help setting. I saw that the Use Tell Window setting that appears on the same page in options was stored in the UI_PlayerName_.ini and the keyboard bindings seem to be in the eqclient.ini so can anyone tell me where the Target Click Shows Help setting is stored? I am guessing that the setting is stored in one file and then on a crash some type of default settings are loaded that changes the setting back. BTW I have tried logging in, turning the Target Click Shows Help option off and logging out to make sure the setting was saved but it did not help. Any help on this issue would be great.
 
I have this same problem, and it annoys me. Sometimes it stays off, but sometimes after logging or going LD it resets to on and I have to turn it off manually again. I have no idea why this happens.
 
I know this is an old thread, but is this still the case? It turns it self back on randomly for me during game play. It is a frustrating nuisance especially when I am boxing.
 
Yep, it's a known issue on this older client. It particularly happens frequently when a) boxing and b) switching accounts after /q. I get it quite a bit - you just get used to disabling.

Another option is to make the client INI file read-only. That should work, but means you can't change settings without changing it back.
