Can I get my old settings back? :(

I remember back in 99 in a game that cannot be mentioned, I use to be able to toggle with tab the targets around me. Yes I have found the toggle in options under keyboard settings, but I can only do my last target, or the one closest to me, cant seem to set it so it cycles through all the targets infront of me whether its 2, or 10 NPC's.

I also play scroll'd out all the way to see whats around me at all times, and recall being able to hold down left click and look around me without my character moving so I wouldnt loose line of sight of my target, just like holding right click, but not moving my character around at all. Yes I know F9 offers 5 - 6 views, but those arent the ways im looking for, it seems I cant figure out these 2 favorite settings of mine, or they are not options in SoD. Any suggestions or am I out of luck?

EDIT/ADD: Now that I think about it, if I cant figure these settings out, I wont be able to enjoy much of the game, considering my favorite class is druid, and wont be able to kite as efficiently as i'd like. Any suggests/help would be very appreciated!

The cycling of targets I seem to remember from the old days of you always see your inventory and have a central square of view to see what your doing lol. The being able to move your view without moving with it, that I do not remember. I'm gonna look around and see if I can find evidence to support either one, but I swear I remember the target ability...

Also of use, the Cycle Targets key (does not have a default setting, I replace my f8 with it so it cycles all valid NPCs in your line of site

Source First bit of evidence I found for it so far.

Not seeing anything about the camera moving without you, havn't ever really tried to do it though, just know of some of the views that let you rotate the camera around, but they zoom in like crazy when you get close to a tree or a building and it blocks the space between the camera and you. Though this is done with the mouse look and not a keyboard.

Strange that your mouse look doesn't work, mine does.

I play the same way, in first person view ,scrolled out as far as I can. All I do to look around me or look up or down to get better views from higher or lower terrain is: right click on my screen and move the mouse. You must continue to right click to keep panning the camera though, once you lift from right click, it doesn't work. (This doesn't move your toon, just adjusts the terrain you view, it also wears on the mouse a lot lol) Also, you have to be careful of not clicking on your toon, as well, otherwise you get the inspect pop up.

I'm not sure what my mouse settings are in game, but they are at default because I never messed with them.

Tried the f12 thing, I already had it on and it only effects holding down right click. Still looks like I can hold down left click at all to move my camera around without moving my character.

Also from reading previous posts I still cant figure out how to cycle through NPC's around me, I only see ones that offer for last target, 2 NPC's, myself, and some others. Even if I put tab for all of them the most it does is cycle between me and my last target.

Whether my problem gets fixed or not wanna mention how great this forum has been with help, and the community in the game, very nice informative people! Love it!

Cycling targets came with a client beyond what SoD is currently using. So you won't be able to use that.

And as far as the scrolling out goes, I think you're mistaken because that isn't possible with this game.

Maybe the cycle thing, but ive had people tell me there able to look around themselves without moving there character. Just gotta figure out what im doing wrong.
