I usually dont complain about much, but I got completely crapped on today. I was the only person in the zone when I logged in, so I proceeded to clear a placeholder and grab some xp until the next respawn. Less than 10 minutes to respawn a very experienced player parks his pet on top of where the named spawns. I tried to talk to him, but was ignored. After his pet was done clearing the new place holder I camped. I guess I am just complaining because he is the first disrespectful person I have met on SoD.
 
That sucks :( Officially there is no such thing as camps on SoD.

That being said, there is a "don't be a douche" rule that covers things like vastly higher level or overtier players monopolizing lower level zones or stealing nameds from people that had been clearing the area before they showed up. I personally haven't ever tried to petition someone for this rule so I'm not sure how it would turn out but you might give it a shot if such a thing happens again.

The section in particular is the Decency Policies. If it's something that's happening more than rarely, do petition it. We love having more people play SoD, but we don't want people with a "might makes right" anti-social attitude that infects the best MMO community around.

I hope this thread makes you feel better about what happened today, and I hope that if it happens again, I hear from you or about it through one of the GMs or GM-Trainees that answers the petition. We don't take kindly to people that cannot accept our policy formerly known as "The Don't Be a D*** Rule".

Edit: I decided to censor that word in the former name of the policy that was one of the reasons we renamed it.
 
You should at least tell us who it was. We're a small enough community that one's reputation is amazingly important. The cool kids here do not look favorably on such things.
 
I would never want to play devil's advocate, but I really don't think naming the person will help.
I may have missed something in the original post, but if someone shows up to a named mobs area and no one is there, but the PH is dead, then someone could think the person left. If you are camping a particular mob your best bet is to not leave sight of that PH for a second. I find people are camping mobs in zones and they are running around killing all the PHers and named. That's fine if no one comes there. But, if you are camping mob/mobs and someone shows up, you really need to haul butt back to the mob you want to camp before the new guy/gal gets there. You can't camp an entire zones PHers/Named, not that I'm saying the original poster was. I find when I'm camping a mob that I need to be an old miser and shoe people away as soon as they get close. Turn the log file on and start taking screen shots if you send him a tell and he doesn't start moving away.
Let the GMs deal with the douches, but have the evidence for them when they answer your petition.
 
Thanks for the support. I was just pissed off and surprised that it happened. I have had nothing but a good experience with SoD until that point. Since I am a fairly casual player (2 lvl 56's in 3 years) and never group I probably am less likely to run across these types very often. I am not going to call anyone out just yet. I am not interested in making enemies. He is an obviously well established player as a necro with 383 AA points. If it happens again by the same person I will post their name. For anyone that is interested I was camping Trisk Recluse.

Zengo - I appreciate your advice, it was quite obvious that I was waiting for the named to spawn and had been there for quite some time.

Currently, the Dark Side Skittles are the only way to get a Lime flavored skittle. They replaced Lime with Green Apple flavor in Original Skittles. So, if you guys are anything like me and you cherish, savor, and adore lime skittles, you will boycott original Skittles and only eat Dark Side skittles.
