buying meats in Thurgadin

Hello all,

I recently journeyed to Thurgadin, having heard that it was possible to buy wyvern meat there. I found a shop right next to the oven called Mordin's Meats. However I con dubious and he will not deal with me. I couldn't find anything on the Wiki concerning the questions below, so I was hoping someone here could help.

Is there a race and/or class that starts out able to buy in Thurgadin, or is this just something where I will have to work faction?

Is there a quest for working Thurgadin faction, or just certain things to kill?

If I do work up Thurgadin faction, will it drop another faction I might need later?

Any advice is appreciated.

It would be easier to remember who is who if we just called them lizard men and cow people.
 
Thanks all for the suggestions. I went back to Wiki and did some more looking. Unfortunately I find no listing for "krilahks" at all. Someone said they are lizard men, is it possible you meant "frilakhs?" Not busting on anyone's spelling, 'specially when you're trying to help me out, but keyword searches are picky :) If it is frilakhs I'm looking for, are there particular ones in another zone besides GFay or Fearstone? Because I killed a lot of those and did tail turn-ins in Athica, and am apparently still quite disliked by those pale little dwarf fellers.

I gather that Harthuks are old school Tizmaks? Looks like those are mid-40's mobs. I should have mentioned this before, but wasn't thinking that faction mobs would be higher level (my mistake) I'm only 31, so those are right out for now.

Do all races / classes start out as dubious in Thurgadin? Because if there's something that starts out at least neutral, I could easily start a character and listsend myself the supplies.

Everybody has to build faction with Thurgadin. Harthuks are the easiest way to build faction there (your other options are killing dragons or giants). You'll want to be level 55+ before hunting in Harthuk caves (it's an extreamly good place to XP at that level).
 
Easyest fix by far: convince someone to sell you a stack or two of harthuk horns. They are droppalbe, a reasonable price is around 15pp / stack and 2 stacks would take you far into the "can sell"-region.
 
Ahh, thanks again all. I normally like to do my own faction work, but I don't particularly care to wait until my 50's just to make one silly recipe, so I think buying some horns might be the way to go on this one.

It might be easier to just get someone to buy wyvern meat for you.

But check vendors frequently. I see harthuk horns on vendors regularly.
