Brusco's direct damage line (Bard song)

I apologize for the vagueness, but I was responding to the previous poster as he had responded to another of my many questions on another post. Basically, I read that you lose parry/riposte (or maybe it was dodge) while "casting". I was curious if this affected Bards as well, as I am basically always twisting songs, making these skills irrelevant.

This:

Parry + Riposte are lost while casting. This was done to balance out the fact that a hybrid with a shield can out-mitigate a warrior, instead of just nerfing shields.
Dodge, shield block are retained while casting.

And I honestly don't know

The avoidance loss while casting was removed once, it came back because it was bugged, and was removed again a couple months ago. So no, it doesn't effect bards
