This is shameless thread necromancy. Not only am I a Shadow Knight and allowed to do that, but I know several people still use this guide for brewing.
I've been combing several shops for Short Beer and Ale in non-mug form. My efforts have been fruitless, so I've been making my own. Seventeen items combined per single attempt of Vodka. Vodka is purchasable in shops now and, thus, it's no longer as important that you make several stacks of it. I flipped through my book a little and was greatly pleased to find something that required drastically less ingredients and was roughly as difficult as Vodka, so I'm going to list it here:
Mint Tea (Trivial at 85) = Tea + Mint Leaves
Mint Leaves are purchasable at brewing vendors (such as the one in Oggok) and it's very easy to make Tea: Tea Leaves + Water. Three items combined, much less painful clicking, and trivializes at the same level Vodka does.
