Both WR and EQ?

I currently play Everquest but am not willing to give up the game yet. I want to try out WR but would like to play both. Would there be any problem in doing something like this, or do I/should I get rid of Everquestlive to play WR?
any help would be great.

Just use a new directory for WR, keep them separate. One for live and one for WR.

Would this work though? It says I have to basically copy everything into the everquest directory (it will overwrite some files.)

make a new folder in program files, name it 'wintersroar' or somesuch, then just copy all of your regular eq files and past them in. Then proceed with the WR setup and perform it only to the version of everquest in your 'wintersroar' folder. Be warned, this can put some strain on memory me thinks.

When I did it, the extra memory from the second EQ folder slowed everything down a little. If your computer is right up there with god, then you dont have to worry.

I don't see how? All it is is another folder with program files in it... Its not like your running the game. If that were true, then every new folder you make with programs will bog down your computer... As long as there isn't a program running in the background that is accessing your program, the new folder shouldn't take any memory away from you...

Every new folder that I make doesn't make my memory drop... And I just made 5 new ones... No memory drop or slow down...

System memory doesnt give a rats ass whats sitting innactive on your harddrive.
having a duplicate folder will not mke your computer run slower unless your harddrive is almost full, not enough HD space allocated to swap and you are doing things that require more ram than you have. All three of those need to exist concurrently for having a duplicate folder slow your machine down.

What extra memory?

Do you mean hard disk space? Using HD space up doesn't slow down your computer significantly unless you're down to like <1 GB.
