I would like to say beforehand that perhaps this is a horrible idea and perhaps impossible but with the request for more books I began thinking about this and wondering if it were possible to implement a new sort of.. "tradeskill" that revolved around book pressing.
The idea I have is that for a sum that is somewhat prohibitive (to stop an influx of worthless garbage in the database) you can take a book that you have written and have plates created, and then these plates can be used to create copies of that book. Each copy would have some feature that would automatically sign the creators name so if anything questionable appears we know who to pin it on. But I think this would open up some very neat avenues for people with a gift for writing, people could make money selling novel series for a modest sum (to recoup the cost of duplicating the book in part) or characters could commission writers they like to even write stories about them. I think this could result in some great works of fiction. It could also be used for guild charters or things I imagine, if a guild was so inclined.
So there you have it. Is that an interesting idea/even possible?
