I solo as a bard alot, and as a bard soloing is constant (meaning no down time), but slow xpers. Other class are definitely better at lvling faster solo than bards. Reason is because bards have power peaks, and major power valleys. For instance, really low lvl, bards are pretty hot cause they can regen themselves and haste and melee, but then the power wanes cause thats all they can do and mobs keep getting more powerful. Then bards get fear, this is hot for a couple lvls solo, but once again, as mobs get more powerful as you lvl up, the power wanes. Then bards get chants and are quite powerful at soloing up to 50+, but as mobs get more powerful power wanes again.
Also, charming fits in here in a couple spots, but takes some work, as bards are kinda in bug phase right now.
Since the bard changes, bards are much better in groups than solo.
