Belt of the Slavemaster

Danku

Dalayan Beginner
Recently had a friend spot this and was shocked to find that it was not beastlord usable.

Belt of the Slavemaster
MAGIC ITEM LORE ITEM NO DROP
Slot: WAIST
AC: 10
CHA: +5 WIS: +5 HP: +40
Critical Strike +2%
Recommended Level of 50.
WT: 7.0 Size: SMALL
Class: CLR PAL RNG DRU SHM
Race: ALL

The users are all wisdom based casters or hybrids spanning leather, chain, and plate but no Beastlords.

Is this an oversight? If it is not, is there a specific reason that they could not be added? (my suggestion is to add them of course)

well if a druid can use it, and it being the lightest armor type char, and the other hybrids can use it... i dont see why BST wouldn't be able to use it. maybe it just hasnt been attended to yet because of other problems.

"Class Addition Requests
Contrary to common belief, there are in fact items that do not correspond to the common class combinations, or that can only be used by one or two similar classes, and are actually supposed to be that way. So unless you have a better argument for why an item should be <my class> usable than "This here other class that shares armor type/casting stat with mine can use it and I can't!" please do not post a request to have your class added to it. If you do post without a good argument for your class to be added to it, the post will be trashcanned."

actually danku is looking out for the good of the server's beastlords, he himself doesn't play one at all. in fact our guild only has 2 beastlrods, both of which would not use the item.

And Aisling was just posting the rule regarding class additions. Here's the important part:

If you do post without a good argument for your class to be added to it, the post will be trashcanned.

Well there is no good arguement then. How can you claim an item shouldn't have class X listed, unless you have a feeling, a conviction that it would really fit this class ?
I understand his point on this item statwise and - although lack of monk might mean it's intended.

Something like 'lack of decent belts at x tier for y class'

Then that is my position on this. There are belts before and after, but the progression of them seems to be a bit off. There does seem to be a lack of belts for the leather/hybrids other than moving to TS items. It would be nice to encourage the use of raided gear at all levels and part of that would be having classes that would make great use of the item mentioned added to it. Being a DPS class, the +2 crit is substantial and the stats are fitting as well.

I am shocked that more beastlords did not speak up on this though. Maybe my perception is off but it seems in the first few raid tiers that the leather/hybrid is lacking a good belt.

One has to be very knowledgeable to know the whole itemization on a class/gearpiece like this one. I can't honestly help here ; apparently OP says that this basically would fit well although it wouldn't be used by the beastlords he knows so idk if anyone can give a good appreciation on this matter - if it's not an item designer that is.
If Item Designer doesn't wanna comment this, let's just say "no it won't happen" and it's settled.
