I am not totally in disagreement with you, but under that logic the Mage runic pet should be buffed as well as it is only marginally better than the relic after the modifications.
I agree with you on that, if the bst pet receives a slight buff (mostly for survivability than anything else), then the mage pet should get that same buff also. Maybe not a massive boost, but a small bump would help balance things out a tad, they were both nerfed over-hard imo.
As I have never had anything to do with playing a necro, I won't comment to their pets.
2 tierilo, in term sof your dps question i would imagine its because beastlords are hyrbids so natural a hybrid is going to be stronger than any of the 2 they are meant to represent
Also upon further reflection on the subject. all the current beastlord tomes revolve around increasing the direct amount of dps our pets do based on how active the beastlord is doing... but they dont seem to scale well through the tomes or tiers and seem lack luster with the low base damage our pet start with mixed with the low increases to there already subpar dps.
I always thought that if you did both with no buffs, it is not a fair comparison. The mage pet has the innate ds, which adds a lot to it's dps while tanking. A better system would be to have the mage pet with no buffs, and the bst pet with only a relic druid ds. That would normalize the innate ds somewhat, for a better comparison.
