when im swarm kiting is there a max ammount of targets. the ae dot/dd spell can hit or is it unset? just wondering and im just wondering y it isnt hitting hostile targets aka i cat pull with it.

Only hits 6, and only if they have aggro on you (aka green con mobs that are kos won't be hit until you attack them first)

You may also be using a PBAE (point blank area of effect) song which would only hit mobs close to you (depending on the range). As a whole, swarm kiting is not that efficient on this server, but that does not mean it is terrible.

Speaking of kiting...that is something I haven't done in a while.
