Hi, I am not Ginam. Methinks certain folks have heard the ginam-hype so much (from ginam?) that they've started to believe it.
Anyways, Bards at the end game do as folks have said, pretty much anything you do in normal groups with a few exceptions.
You won't be mezzing on raids. Give it up

Our mezzes cap low.
Once you get geared and aa'd for it, your DPS will be rather high. Granted, this means a lot of raids and aa's in a bard's case. And the DPS is lackluster without the relic dot and those are rare. To date only myself and Phar have it, to my knowledge.
You also add the ability to offtank minor mobs. Ginam's best at this, btw, since he likes playing offtank. Personally, I'd rather do bard-stuff and add more DPS. Then again, I'm a gnome so tanking isn't all that viable for me, hehe (we get stunned a lot more).
You'll do the normal resists, which range from 'neat to have' to indispensable, depending on the raid encounter. Along these lines, there's also a relic AE dmg reducer that can save a few lives or spare a lot of mana.
But the best thing about bards is perhaps that they cannot be 'pigeon-holed'. Try your songs in new and interesting ways. You'll be surprised. No, I don't mean the constant mezzing while tanking wierdness. I mean, try a song that add's AC or a Rune where you hadn't tried it before. We have a ton of little worthless songs, that aren't all that worthless in certain situations.
Or, if you're truly bored and have no problem pissing off 36 people in the name of 'good fun', go sing Melanies Meliflous Motion in the heat of battle. That'll get the blood flowing
