Bard Pristine Instruments

I posted this a couple of months back, but the way bard instruments work now, you get a pristine bonus to the instrument mod if you loot it. The Flute of the Fribbit and Dancer's Tambourine are 2.4(2.5) and 2.5(2.6) respectively. Either removing the pristine effects from instruments, or nerfing the original mods on bard instruments are two options. Otherwise, an easy to get drum and easy to get flute have some of the best mods in the game for their respective instrument types.

I believe Wiz posted that he would change the drum and the flute when I first posted, but I do not believe they were ever changed.

the only other possible conflict I see in instruments besides the two mentioned here would be huntfang's drum vs pristine goblin drum

It's funny, all of your posts seem to ask for a way to better yourself or nerf someone else. Keep up the good work.

What? What??

No I'm going to say it again.

What???

These really are fair suggestions. I'm more of a fan of the previous as it's a lot less work with the same results

Progession of instruments has been moved around a lot and this was probably an oversight imo

Except the fact this was a recently implemented portion of the game which trivialized getting the maximum percussion and wind mod in the game, pay no mind it was acknowledged by the staff and was intended to be changed anyways

Maybe you could explain to everyone why dropable items should have the same mods as no drop items that are a lot harder to obtain, or you can keep shitting up threads with your worthless comments.

The progression is skewed when an easy duoable mob drops a drum with the same modifier as either a low tier raid mob, or the highest level adept. If you knew anything about item progression, you would see why this is wrong.

My point stands, however I never said anything one way or another about Bard mods. I even encouraged you to keep up the good work.

I'm actually holding classes on dickery. Your dickery needs some improvement, you should sign up.

Modding them or w/e seems pretty reasonable, those are crazy low drops, they shouldn't be equal to hard ones. Probably just an oversight.

the fact that this topic has already been brought up AND concidered change, your statement is completely unnecessary. no one care's for THAT kind input that just completely shits up a thread.

plus, that just looked incredibly stupid on your part.

monk, wiz, war or bard..ANYone would see that this is an issue and if its in YOUR class, its going to be more noticeable.

It's tough to tell the truth. Anyway, we should stay on topic huh.

Also, I would like to point out (like I did in my first time posting this) that I still have Flute of the Fribbit for my wind mod, so I am nerfing myself. Not like I care, since the fact that dropable items having the same mods as high end stuff is not balanced whatsoever.

In regards to pristine lowbie instrements outstripping raid level instrements......maybe i missed this part but if you loot a raid level item doesnt its pristine form kick that ass of its none pristine? if it doesnt now or for some reason they cant why not simply increase the stats of the hard to get instrements....risk vs reward.

no need to nerf the lowbie stuff because there stats were created and deemed to be balanced already...simply classing up the higher level harder to get items would be a lot easier and make sure some folks worked a bit harder for it.

Lowbie items aren't getting a nerf per-se, but getting put back in line with progression after BoE/pristine. As stated in the predecessor of this thread, some low items are getting a decrease in power while some other higher drops are getting a boost in power.
