Bard Pristine Instruments Part 3

This idea is now four months old and deserves a repost due to the fact it has still not been corrected.

ToK, Fomelo, and in-game testing confirms the following:

Concubine's Tambourine
  • Tier 2 Raid Trash
  • 2.6 Percussion Modifier
Dragonskin Drum
  • 57 Max Adept
  • 2.6 Percussion Modifier
Pristine Dancer's Tambourine
  • Soloable level 51 mob in an xp zone
  • 2.6 Percussion Modifier
Additionally:

Coda
  • Tier 6 Raid mob
  • 2.5 Wind Modifier
Pristine Flute of the Fribbit
  • Groupable level 60 mob in an xp zone
  • 2.5 Wind Modifier
And I have not tested the following:

Lionskin Drums
  • Max level 26 Adept
  • 2.1 Percussion Modifier

Pristine Goblin Drum
  • Level 22 mob
  • 2.1 Percussion Modifier
As can be clearly seen from the data, the pristine system has thrown off bard instrument progression. Easily obtainable pristine items from xp zones have become the same modifier as no drop items from Adepts and raid zones of much higher difficulty. This has bee addressed in two previous posts and decided and slated for changes, yet 4 months later they are unchanged. The intention of this post is to bring these back into the light and the minds of the dev staff.

Lowered dancer's tambourine by 1 base (more in line with progression anyway) and raised coda by 1 base.
I already tweaked most droppable instruments that were beating out raid ones down by .1, the ToK post just hasn't been updated.
I hate to contradict Wiz, but this has not been done.

We might also want to add Exquisite Redwood Lute since its also easily obtainable and becomes a 2.6 mod. However, there really isn't another stringed mod from raid encounters, but this might be balanced for future bard itemization.

I wouldn't mess with it until there is an actual conflict, tbh

I believe Wiz did correct the problem, just not to everyones satifaction. Most dancer's tamborines that players I see have are 2.5 mob bought ones, and not until much higher in level or with the support of a group do they ever see a pristine one. So saying that the instrument progression is thrown off is a judgement call at this point.

Fact of the matter is this...

You can farm Traekoth for weeks to get a 2.6 mod, you can farm Air mobs for a 2.6 mob, or you can ONE GROUP or even duo a 2.6 mod. The progression and balance of this situation is out of line and needs to be fixed. Either Dancer's base should be lowered or the Traekoth/Air drum need to have their mods increased to separate the tiers.

Well they might need a group to upgrade to a 2.6 mod, but then they need a raid to get their next upgrade which is... a 2.6 mod.

No, the problem was not corrected. It's still on the slate (I've been working overtime to put in droppable item vendor prices (and I'm more than halfway done YAY!!!), I haven't forgotten but I do appreciate the bump).

Thank You, this is exactly what I was looking for.

To Rrowrr, give me a 65 bard with 6 saved AAs and I can solo them a dancer's tambourine. It is clear there is something wrong with this being the highest mod on the most useful solo-bard instrument type and the staff has already aknowledged the problem (Which is covered in my first post).
