Bad pet names

I am pretty sick of seeing the more inappropriate pet names out there (Jewslut, Obamabinladen to name a couple). My suggestion is to enforce some sort of penalty (jail time) upon petition with screenshot evidence if it's needed--at the very least when it comes to derogatory racial pet names.

I thought the sig made it ironic at first too, until I realized it was showing disrespect for mein kampf not sponsoring it. I agree with the OP, though I do not think we need to go crazy over pet names, just clearly offensive ones (which I believe is the spirit of this thread anyway).

I imagine this is much harder to enforce then the character naming policy, but some kind of rule would be a good idea imo. Maybe just- no obscenities/slurs/etc... and hang a hefty penalty on it so people don't try and operate on the "I'll never get caught" rational.

The sig is indeed a dog pissing on Mein Kampf, but I guess the picture might be a little unclear. Time to change it.

not speaking for other gms but I support this. petition an offensive pet name and if I'm on and I support it, I'll go after it.
 
Sounds about right, if naming policy is enforced on players why should pets be allowed to bypass the same rule set...

I support this thread as well.

I do support the OP
Do not enforce the same naming policy on pet as you do characters. Just keep pets non-offensive.
 
I thought all pets were for is to have something with a hilarious name to follow you around.

I hope Wilford Brimley doesn't play SoD, he might find my bear pet Diabeetus offensive :(
