Athica Faction Borked

Athica faction is currently borked. Tested 2 toons, they're NOT invis, both formerly Ally and have the Athica neck (still, didn't crumble), yet all the merchants and NPCs on Athica faction con Indifferent.
 
Noticed this problem on my monk too. Not ally faction, but was amiable and now indifferent. I initially passed it off as an accidental murder or something, but i guess not.
 
I had someone in a party I was in have this happen, and he petitioned and GM said there was no way to verify previous faction so he couldn't do anything about it.
 
Did any of you participate in War events involving Athica? ... many many times people end up grabbing aggro from the guards based on who's in their raid, AE's, etc ... could have taken faction hits from that.
 
I think faction is borked period. not just Athica. Council of Innovation faction went from amiable to to indifferent too.

I am pretty sure faction bound items disappear when your faction becomes lower than amiable. If this person still has their necks, then something is indeed fubar.

None of my toons did. I've avoided the war like the plague. In fact, I'm 99% positive that there hasn't been a war event since the change happened; it's very recent.

As for proof of prior faction, all my toons still have their Amulets.
 
I've been working on athica faction for months, I was up to warmly and was anticipating getting my athica faction necklace soon, however I just checked and am back down to indiff for no apparent reason, as I have not been in any wars or certainly have not killed any one on athica faction. This indifference and lack of trust on the part of the game designers (in reference to the fellow I grouped with recently who sent a petition about the problem and received the reply we cant confirm your prior faction hence ur sol.) diminishes our, your fans trust in you! Who wants to work diligently for months only to have your reward borked by a designflaw and have your beloved gms brush you off with a dismissive and indifferent comment too bad we cant verify thus ur shiz out of lucks? I can only hope that the gms and designers will consult in an effort to find a fair solution to this breech and we the grateful users can go back to quite gratitude of thier efforts.

I wouldn't be so quick to jump to hasty conclusions. Not all the staff have knowledge about every aspect of the game. I'm sure the right person(s) will figure out what's going on and fix it. As was pointed out, since the faction bound gate necks didn't crumble to dust, it doesn't appear to be an actual faction reset. Also, several people have had the problem, so it's not a single bugged individual.

I'm pretty confident it'll all work out in the end. :)
 
Any new word on this please? Or, while this is broken, can a motd be changed to warn people about this. I just lost about 20 dwarf essences and hours of work. Maybe Samantha can hand back the items until this is fixed. I understand that this fix may not be a priority, but having Samantha hand back the items or simply remove her for now would be very helpful. Thanks

Yes there is an issue with Athica faction, it is a known issue and being looked in to, there is no ETA so please don't petition about it anymore, we'll let everyone know, when we get a resolution.
 
Just checked my faction in athica, its still indifferent when it had been warmly does this mean we loose the faction that we earned and have to go back and get 60 more medallions from Elds?

Oops didnt notice Ikaa/Osimi's edit that sounds like good news, I take it when the npc faction is fixed ours will go back to normal ?

Repeating it again - the problem is with the NPC's faction, not the players.

Your faction hasn't changed, so there is no "going back to normal". It is normal. Thats why gate necks and things haven't poofed. It's the NPCs that are broken.

and that means I should keep all my medallions until its fixed right and not turn them in unless I want to waste them?
 
I have a question, if we turned in faction crap before realizing it was all borked up, will our faction be increased when it's changed back? Or are those items lost?
