Athica Donations NPC

Thoughts on an NPC that could be setup to handle donations for upgrades/etc to help with people who log on off hours or are having problems finding the right people to donate? Again I dunno what an NPC like this would cost us. Just throwing out the idea.

This sounds a bit less.
I would prefer some system with which we would need to give stuff to that NPC constantly like 1 water, 1 food (maybe some coin) per day/week, whatever.
It would be great - if this will happen - if that NPC would memorize the number of supplies he got ( so you can give him at least 1 stack water, 1 stack food and don't need to pay for some time).
 
If this was done, a speach command that made the npc say how much of each was left would be useful. That was people could keep tabs on the levels and not acidently let them stave.
 
I think an NPC to hand items into for the rebuilding of Athica would be a fantastic idea. I'm pretty confident it is doable. I'll let you know what I find out.
 
I wonder if it would be possible for the NPC to respond to hails with what is needed for donations to rebuild the city as well? Sort of a "Hail to you, <name>. Athica is growing strong but we still need 4500pp, handmade backpack, glass vial."
 
given my position as completely unknowlegable gamer with no clue about coding in any way, shape, or form...

that sounds like it would be hard.

Actually,I think this would be ideal if the NPC would have a list of items, but only state the first two in the list, until they are recieved. The NPC would always state teh plat needed.

Here is the problem...
I have never seen a quest where the quest text would change with every turnin, which is essentially what we are asking for.

It still may be possible.
 
simple solution to this, which would save wiz a lot of code...

we place a vendor at the antrence to town and share the account info so folks can give it items(for 999,999 cp each). Jayelle and a couple others would have the info, and folks could donate whenever any of these folks were online.

Could also be used for donations. Give them 20 or more stacks of water at 100 plat per waterflask. anyone who wants to donate just buys a flask.
 
I hope the addition of an NPC increases the amount of donatoins (pp and resources). Unfortunately, the donating has slowed down considerably. We need to keep rallying the troops so to speak, so we don't slow down in our progress in rebuilding Athica! Keep those suggestions coming, and if you have an idea how to raise plat feel free to PM it to me.
 
Has this type of NPC been implemented ??? If so I must be blind, but had not heard anything about this other than through this post.
