Arrow Fletching vs Merchant buying

Hello, I just started working on fletching and got it high enough to start making standard stock arrows. The arrows that I make are the exact same as the ones that the Fletching merchant sells.

I figured it up and at indiff faction, it costs 800 copper to buy 20 stacks of merchant sold arrows. (40 copper per stack.)

Using fletching, assuming that I succeed every combine, it costs 960 copper to buy 20 of each 4 of the materials needed. (48 copper per stack assuming succeed)

I was just wondering if this was the way it is supposed to, since I can buy vendor sold arrows cheaper than buying raw materials and making my own, or if perchance this was overlooked?

Thank you for all your hard work and time.

PS. I'm talking about the vendor in SNP, I'm unsure if it is the same elsewhere.

It's only very little more cost, but you get the advantage of using only 4 inventory slots for 20 stacks of arrows.

Lets not forget about the fletching kit that must be empty in order to do a combine.
