Armor Class tiers?

I had heard that the ac-related mitigation between 1500ac and 1799ac is the exact same. So two toons of the same class with the same agility and tomes will mitigate damage the same if they are within the 1500-1799ac "tier".

If this is true, what is the tier above 1800? is ht 1800-1899, 1900-1999, 2000-2099?

No.

There are soft caps over which AC is worth a bit less per point. The highest soft cap is 500. You would've noticed if there was no difference at any point over 500.
