In regards to my last post:

Regular Draconic/Stormforged can be gotten in the mid 50's. DN drops the runic pieces, the gems drop in about 50 places, the faction needed(Amiable IIRC) can be gotten with a group of 50's.

Right -- 50's quest armor that can be upgraded, but not armor that can be upgraded from 20 - 50. So...why not have 20-50 upgradeable armor? Or maybe we're getting off topic -- the point was to set off ideas for matching armor colors, and i guess introducing armor quests from 20-50 would have far more issues than just color (if that makes sense)

ngl not enough purple caster. Was always disappointed in the look of the cmal robe. Considering theres no point in swapping it for pretty much any robe out there that I'm aware of, I'm pretty much stuck with it.

not to thread jack, but i don't know why runic armor doesn't drop in more lower zones.
most everyone i know, has had better gear on by the time they get to runic drops except for bps.

Just to throw this in there, gnome skin was awesome because it was actually a very, very dark blue. Like, 0 0 12 or something. It was a nice touch.

I honestly think there should be a lot more variety out there. More subtle variations and more subtlety in general, as it makes for a wider variety of looks. The type of armor is also a strong determining factor in which color an armor should be.

Also, yeah, we need more full suits. Cobalt was tight. And Rubicite? Yes.

So - here's another question. Are there colors being underrepresented right now (as Thinkmeats suggested), or is there a lack of full sets of armor?

this is getting out of hand :psyduck:

EDIT: back on track, I think (from the small sample of people who voted in this poll, at least) we've established that the colors are definitely not great. 6 people say theyre pretty good, 7 think theyre passable/dont care, 6 think theyre pretty poor, and 8 say a change is needed. That all said, what could be done to improve colors without a lot of work? more single armor drops of certain colors, changes to current armor colors, new color-matching sets of armor...what? I'd personally be a fan of the 3rd option, though it's probably too much work for a low-priority issue like this one

Oh man I want some old footie pj's. Unintentional kitchen floor morning skating ftw

i went into target one day to get a desk and i actually saw giant, adult sized*for men*, footie PJs.

my stomach hurt so much from laughing :(

hey man, theyre warm k?

but i dont think we need anymore pjs in SoD, even if they are footies

the real thing that (some) people care about is *armor* color.

-new full suits?
-more drops of certain colors?
-changes to existing armor?
-your idea here?

Changing armor color has been brought up many times over the past couple of years (and probably before that), but it most likely won't happen (it's that whole sandbox thing). I'm all for it though. The technicolor armor isn't cool, or retro, or whatever justification one could come up with. It's just goofy.

I can understand not being able to change certain dropped armors or something (due to powerful enchantments or some such), but it'd be nice if player-made stuff could be colored. It'll still preserve the "lore" of items, but manufactured armor could be changed around to match up with pieces of dropped armor so people don't look like clowns.

EDIT: I will say this - if it's not easily enabled within the game though, it's not worth pouring a lot of resources into getting it to work. Maybe it's just another table that's currently empty in the player inventory fields of the database (currentcolor or something), but I don't know. As the client is a late enough version that it has the means to support color changes, it may be possible.
