I am totally against taking the same colours as live for the same classes. If we wanted a copy of Live, we wouldn't be playing here. I am all for designers's creativity though.

As a former Lambent-clothed Bard from Live, I agree that Lambent blue rocked! Sure, don't put it on the same class, but I personally love sets that 'go together'. Part of the original 'awe' at least for me in EQLive was when I saw the first Bard that I saw in Lambent... or any other class in any other gear set that went together/looked similar, and it was the only set with that color/texture. You KNEW that whoever you were looking at had been to a certain point in the game. When people first started into the Thurgadin or Kael sets, etc... it was just really cool. That was ruined with the advent of armor dyes. I personally lamented the day I was forced by my guild to purchase a buncha dye and turn my gear green and black to match the guild... though it wasn't too big a deal because I didn't have a cool gear set that looked proper together.

I wish the textures and colors were closer to unlimited... like a couple hundred wireframes per gear slot, couple hundred textures, and the 65k color spectrum...

Regardless, this is a pretty secondary/minor issue to me, but was another piece of what made Live what it was.

I think these quotes sum up what a large number of people supporting change in color think...and I don't think ANYONE would complain if there were more matching sets of armor.

What about more "normal" looking pieces of armor, though? I mean, as much as I like colors like lambent blue, rubicite red, and Jayelle Pink/purple, they are going to clash with other pieces of armor invariably -- namely Thinkmeats green and Ashleigh Pink w/black polka dots. But what does a color like steel clash with? or the color of the Ancient Platemail quest armor?

-People support the creation/update of more full suits of armor (for color)

-How many think more neutral colors could be used in individual pieces of armor?
-How many think some current armor pieces could/should be changed?
